Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
Continental Coin ("Continental Coin," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by King Taurus Management LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Continental Coin mobile application and related services (the "Service"), whether you are a Consumer or a Coin Holder (business).
By using Continental Coin, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
All users:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Date of birth (used solely to verify you are 18 years of age or older; the Service is not intended for use by anyone under 18)
- Password (stored securely; we never store plaintext passwords)
- Profile photo (optional)
Consumers:
- City and zip code, used to support location-relevant discovery
- Saved businesses, follows, and preferences
- Messages exchanged with Ce Ce, our booking assistant
Coin Holders (businesses):
- Business name, tagline, bio, and category
- Business address
- Business hours
- Social media links and third-party booking platform URLs (e.g., Booksy, The Cut, Squire)
- Promotional content you create (offers, promo messages)
- Payment information for Gold tier subscription, processed by Stripe (see Section 3)
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Proximity/Bluetooth data: Continental Coin uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to detect nearby Coin Holder businesses that have opted in to broadcasting. Consumers' devices detect anonymized broadcast tokens, not persistent identifiers, in order to generate an "encounter" between a Consumer and a nearby Coin Holder. We do not use BLE to track a Consumer's precise location history over time.
- Usage and analytics data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service — for example, which businesses you view, save, or book with — to power features like your Digest tab and to give Coin Holders aggregate, anonymized performance analytics (e.g., "Reached," "Viewed," "Saved," "Booked" counts). Coin Holders do not receive your individual identity through these analytics unless you take an action that shares it (such as booking an appointment).
- Device and technical data: device type, operating system version, and app version, collected for troubleshooting and compatibility purposes.
- Push notification tokens: used to deliver notifications you have enabled (e.g., booking confirmations, new promos, birthday offers).
1.3 Information from Third-Party Integrations
If you choose to connect third-party services, we may receive limited information from them:
- Google Calendar: if a Coin Holder connects their Google Calendar, we access calendar availability solely to support accurate booking scheduling through Ce Ce and to prevent double-booking. We do not access or store the content of unrelated calendar events.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and maintain the Service, including BLE-based proximity discovery and matching
- Facilitate bookings and communications between Consumers and Coin Holders through Ce Ce
- Send transactional notifications you have enabled (bookings, confirmations, declines, new messages, promos, birthday offers)
- Provide Coin Holders with aggregate performance analytics about their business's engagement on the platform
- Process Gold tier subscription payments
- Verify that users meet our minimum age requirement (18+)
- Improve, secure, and troubleshoot the Service
- Communicate with you about your account or the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only as described below:
- With Coin Holders: if you book an appointment, save a profile, or otherwise interact directly with a Coin Holder, that Coin Holder may see relevant information necessary to fulfill your request (e.g., your name and phone number for a booking).
-
Service providers: we use trusted third-party providers to operate the Service, including:
- Supabase (database hosting)
- Twilio (SMS-based verification codes; may in the future support additional SMS features)
- Stripe (payment processing for Gold tier subscriptions — Stripe receives your payment details directly; we do not store full card numbers)
- OpenAI (powers Ce Ce, our AI booking assistant; messages you send to Ce Ce may be processed by OpenAI's API to generate responses)
- Google Calendar (booking availability, for Coin Holders who connect it)
- AWS (server infrastructure)
- Cloudflare (content delivery and security)
These providers are contractually restricted from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to us.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Continental Coin, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: if Continental Coin is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
4. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and correction: you can review and update most of your profile information directly within the app.
- Notification preferences: you can enable or disable individual push notification types in Settings.
- Account deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us at the email below. We will delete your information except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution).
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to know what information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of certain data uses. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Anonymized or aggregated analytics data may be retained after account deletion, as it no longer identifies you individually.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted credential storage, role-based access controls, and secure infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Continental Coin is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We use date-of-birth verification during onboarding to enforce this. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
8. International Users
Continental Coin is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
